Sorry Dave didnt mean to across rude or anything , was just pointing that out as I made the mistake of wiring it to the two black terminals at first last weekend then sat there scratching my head for ages until i referred to his latest manual lol.

Your advice has been massively valuable and helpful to us all with fitting this

Was you able to get a response from Lewisrandal to see if he's happy to ugrade your unit?

Not rude at all Rick.

I have changed my picture to correct my mistake.

I wonder if you would delete my incorrect picture in your quoted post.

I just want to make sure we don't have two different pictures and someone wondering which one is correct.

I have only just got around to sending a e mail to lewis rendel, so I await a reply.

Thanks for pointing out the correct way to connect the board.

Deleted as requested

I'm sure he'll sort something out for you. He took mine back and checked it over for me as something stopped working on it, he's now sent mine out again in the post

Not sure if this helps anyone but as the temperature is 2degrees outside at the moment, I thought I'd start the car up from stone cold and see how long it takes for the heaters to get warm. Started the car up, FBH kicked in straight away and the heaters were warm within 5 minutes and that was just whilst sitting idle on the driveway

Will see how long it takes when activates remotely once my GSM comes back

I took the fuel burning heater apart and serviced it before fitting. basically just cleaned out the burner, glow plug and the water pump. Not sure how much difference that would have made, as mine wasn't too bad apart from the pump.
quite a bit I reckon - I didn't service mine, and mine hasn't heated the engine up to the cutoff on the thermistor of about 77 after 20 mins even. Best it managed so far was 66 - I have the service kit but not the stomach for the job and hoped it would burn off a bit over the winter.

Mine operates fine from as a parking heater, but as an auxiliary heater I am not sure if it is firing at all, as it was below 5 this evening, and I didn't hear it running at all.

One last point - I mentioned the silk screen printing on some boards being wrong - make sure you test your boards relay terminals across NC and NO (not NO and C ) with a meter - C and NC are printed the wrong way round on some. You will see pretty quickly if your board has this issue or not.

My fbh is quite loud at the moment so i can hear it from inside my car when idling even over the rumble of my exhausts. The second time it fired up i could hear the clicking of the pump from inside the car. The noise from the exhaust is noticeable if you stand infront if the car on that side

ok it was half a degree out this morning so took the car for a test run. Fuel burning heater did start - personally i can't hear it inside the car too easily - must be all my extra sound proofing for the ICE install That's my story and I'm sticking to it.....

Definetly worked for 2 reasons -

1) engine was at running temp in just over 1 mile
2) immediately after startup I held the FBH exhaust and it was warming up.

Glad I installed that and fitted an inline 'stat now - this winter will be a toasty warm one.

FBH by text works great too ,but I won't drain my battery down with the atc stuff yet I think.

Good advice. Came out today to a lovely warm car with a flat battery. I have a new one ready for fitting so a good job for the afternoon
