Handbrake compensator removal.
Just taken my handbrake compensator out. Carefully read Harrys and Artics excellent articles and got started. What a pig of a job! I don't know if this makes any difference but leather memory seats seem to restrict access badly especially the non height adjustable passenger seat. Also had a long frustrating search for a deep reach 13 mm socket to wind back the adjuster nut; gave up looking and did it one flat at a time with spanner. Modification will be a quick 'foreigner' for lunch break tomorrow.

Copper water pipe is just about strong enough to undo the nut, if you form it to shape first, over a 13mm nut.

Have heard of foreigner a few times for a homer, but in a workshop I used to visit in Portsmouth, which had mainly ex mob engineers, they were known as rabbits. Never heard that anywhere else.

"Draper Expert range" do a deep 13mm socket. You ought to be able to find one of those.
