bought mine (52 reg) last summer with 49K.
after 2 weeks I noted strong fuel smell inside which explained why after 20m after fill up the gauge just showed 3/4. could avoid the 'recommendation by a quality garage' to replace the tank by just checking and replacing some hoses and washers. further two weeks later (no comments please ): fan's gone. it took some weeks to get replacement but at no time I ever thought about getting rid of my 75 although i had taken out an expensive warranty just to learn that radiators are not covered well, these were the only major issues in 2007 (thanks rover- god ). This year so far: - 2 new brake disks and pads (ok with mileage although I do not break that much ) - 2 head beam bulbs - 2 break bulbs - that's it this yrs mot passed w/o fail, of course  not to mention, that i continue the excellent and consistent service history (in addition to the usual regular vital checks). as cam belts are due soon, i will check the forum as i already heard some recommendations to replace cooler at the same time as well so thanks again for all your comments and hints! |

If you need your Belts doing and at a good price,
May I suggest you contact Lates, www.lates600.com a member on here who specialises in our cars. RW Services in Farrer Mews, Hornsey also do a good job and are much closer, but at a much, much higher price. (Their Labour rate is twice Lates) The Day trip to Lates will save you money on a job well done, even with the journey. Advert advice over. |

Depends where you take it, Location you live etc.
Anything from £490 to £900+ for a Complete properly done job, Ive seen prices for. Give Lates a PM for a Guide Price from him. As I've not checked recently. |

Mine had 140,000 kms on the clock when I bought it.
Now 180,000. in thiese 40,000 kms normal service items plus: 8 new tyres (summer + winter) incl 4 new 16 inch rims 2 VIS motors (both were dodgy when the car was bought) 1 servo motor for traction control 1 Small radiator leak Now the rear silencer box is packing up. Bits falling off it ;-) Anybody tried stainless steel exhaust?
