Been there! Done that!! heh heh..
The weather was pretty good really, just one heavy shower but it didn't last long. It was a very good turnout. I counted 14 cars and then the Southbound convoy From up Norf arrived!! ekky thump! I lost count then coz everyone started forming up on the grass next door, cars everywhere you looked!!. had to hop about a bit soas not to get run over!. I deff won the "dirtiest front wheels award.. Black brake dust innit, and I asked for greenstuff pads to be fitted!! Some very very smart cars there, peeps sure tonce'd em up a treat.. They look just like they came out of the showrooms.. Unfortunately I was late parkin up in the field, so was on one end, that means it may be on some pics, and having just done 136 miles mainly in heavy rain and all in thick road spray, my car looks the worse for wear. shame really, coz Pabs car, next to mine, was spotless.. Apparently there was a guest from Shropshire there, I saw the car but never got to meet the owner Shame coz he sure put some miles in to get to Scotland!! Anyway, whoever it was, well done indeed.. 5, yes 5, weggie blues turned up! talk about lowerin the tone... At least I was the last Southerner to turn up and the first to leave! One of my expected 2 lady pasengers phoned to say she was poorly and couldn't make it (prob heard about my drivin) so I did get away at 9.30 in the end. Arrived Gretna car park 12-02. Left Gretna at 2-45 .. home for 4-30.. Mways door to door.. Brilliant! ... Muppet (lil dog) escaped once more, but someone managed to step on his lead, so his freedom was short lived this time! heh heh... ... Last edited by James.uk; 17th July 2010 at 16:57.. |

Good meet, well worth the effort and drive from Edinburgh. I can now put more faces to web names. Never thought I would see a 75 dash being changed in a field in torrential rain! Ah well , you live and learn. Hope you got the dash finished John
PS. can someone change my V6 timing belts at the next meet |
