How do you clean the inside??

Hi guys,

Just wondering how you clean the interior plastic?

Especially for the sandstone!!

I find the only thing for the plastic trim is Jif - or Cif or whatever its called nowadays.

Then a quick polish with Cockpit shine and she looks and smells like new

.

Probably get slated for this but I use Pledge or Mr Sheen - whatever is lurking under the kitchen sink.

Some say not to as it causes too much 'shine' and reflection problems in the low winter sun, but I can't say I've really noticed any problems.

I've used cockpit shine and many other specialist products, but I'll stick with what I like now.

I will have a look at what I have deep beneath the kitchen sink!!

Because it's the sandstone interior it shows up every blemish...

I don't know what I was expecting (some miracle cleaner I guess)

pledge / Jiff or Ciff will have to do

I use a product called "Doktor Power" it's in a yellow tub and you can buy it at Wilkinsons..
It brings up the trim almost as good as new..
It's really good for cleaning scuff marks from the sandstone door pockets..

Don't use anything abrasive though as it'll spoil the finish on the surface!

As it's the scuff marks I am having trouble with using your general household cleaners...

I don't think the Doctor Power product is abrasive, you use a small sponge[supplied in the lid] that you damp, then apply a small ammount of the product.

Been using it for a while now, so far so good..

I suppose I should clarify that I use Cif/Jif on scuff marks only!! - not on the entire plastic trim

It is especially useful along the lower door cards where shoes can mark the trim. Or when some grubby mechanic puts greasy paw marks all over the interior
