Default Advice on Alternator for a diesel

looking at Rimmers web site the alternators for diesel are the same, they don't differ between 75 and ZT, manual or automatic or year. Is this correct?

I see to recall something about 2 wire and 3 wire, does this apply to diesel alternators?

thanks macafee2

There is a plug at the back of your alternator, they come in two varieties. One is 3 pin, the other 2 pin. The easiest way to tell is to unplug it and look.

Apart from that the only difference is the output, 100amps and 120amps. They are the same for all diesels
