Picture 3 certainly looks like the Rover V8 I had in both my P6 and SD1 remember well stripping the carbs numerous times until light bulb moment when I collected the fuel to find tiny bits of rubber from a fuel supply pipe was the problem for fuel starvation and engine cutting out.

It's definately not a p6 or p5 engine, it's later than that so will certainly have hardened valve seats so will be happy on unleaded. Got to be sd1 or land/Range Rover. The sump and waterpump is not p6. Carbs look like sd1 as does the sump, exhaust manifolds, engine mounts and rocker covers. My bet is sd1 but engine number will confirm. Or, at least, the compression ratio will give a a few clues.

It does look a later lump but whatever it's from, I think it's an unrealistic price.

The seller might have cleaned it up a bit and taken decent photos if he wants that price.
