Default Ambient air temp sensor and A/C

Can anyone direct me to a supplier of ambient air temp sensors for 2003 Rover 75 CDTi. My readout is a constant -30C and the A/C will only operate at 'Low' pumping out ambient air at any setting higher than that. All the sites I have looked at offer sensors unlike the one fitted so I need pics to ensure I get the right one. Am in Spain so not keen to get involved in returns. Thanks for any advice.

Have you checked yours is connected? Has the front bumper been removed recently? Worth checking before you spend out on a new one. I'd speak to one of the traders. I've found Trikey very helpful when getting parts. Good luck getting it sorted!

Default ambient temp sensor

Thanks but have checked it is properly connected in its position behind the bumper. However, whilst it worked perfectly until recently it isn't the same shape as some I have seen advertised on ebay so wanting to check carefully before ordering.

If the sensor is not available you can also use NTC thermistor 1.8 kohm.

Default Ambient air temp sensor and A/C

I recently posted re the ambient air indicator showing a constant -30C. I also found that my a/c would only operate on 'Lo' setting but cut out e.g. at 16C and any setting higher - a problem here in Spain. I used it at Lo and varied by altering the blower speed.
Eventually a new sensor was fitted and initially I thought nothing had changed but then realised that the ambient indicator was rising very, very slowly and took about two hours to reach somewhere near actual ambient. Also, once it was indicating around 20C the A/C began to operate normally.
Sincere thanks to member David Toogood for his help and advice.
