Default All he got was a 14 day ban

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/1459...h/?ref=rl&lp=1

I was on this road about 30 min after they cleared it all up.

Any thoughts on the 14 day ban?

Watching the video just makes me cringe as he could have taken out anyone driving on the oncoming carriageway.

agree far too lenient considering he also had no insurance, should have been much longer ban and retake driving test (twice as long as a normal test and much more difficult to pass)

That amount of irresponsibility deserves at least an 18 month ban & a £1000 fine, especially with no insurance. total idiot & we shouldn't have to share public roads with these lunatics.

Surely no insurance should mean that individual is personally liable for every bit of damage and injury he caused.

Cost of damage to vehicles.
Cost of injury to each individual.
Cost of damage to highway.
Cost to emergency services etc.

Then should come the fines for not having compulsory insurance, and punishment for driving like a numpty.

Looking at that video again a few times, it seems he hit a bit of a bump in the road to make the car loose control and crash.

I also cannot believe his sentence with the facts that on top of it they were not uninsured

Did he have OJ's defence team or pulled the card

I have recently renewed my car insurance. The cost increases annually.
Low mileage; no claims; and still the costs rise. Why ? Largely because of the behaviour if irresponsible persons like this. They couldn't care less. We pick up the bill.
Instead of paying insurance premiums at the exorbitant rates which the average legal motorists do, they get off with less outlay in fines and costs !
Justice ????

Yes - a total cost to him of just £380 "He was also fined £320, ordered to pay £40 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge." - means that he ended up paying less than most people pay each year in insurance premium.

What on earth were they thinking when they fined this idiot so little.

And as for the 14 day ban

Why was the pug driver in the overtaking lane if there's nothing to overtake?
