Might be worth grabbing a Service Kit and changing a few other bits while you've got your hands dirty - the Air Filter is often forgotten about as it's hidden, as is the PCV Filter.

We have a fully-customisable kit here: https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/collections/...and-oil-filter

If you're just after the Oil Filter, we have those here: https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/collections/...eals-lrf100150

In all engines the important thing is the ACEA specification of the oil. The diesel accepts a range of viscosity types but your selected oil must pass the ACEA A3 and B3 as a minimum. It's given on the label and on the website listings - if not ask them to confirm it. This means a semi-synthetic type as minimum. Use fully synthetic if you have a deeper pocket. The rest is up to you, so Tesco's or top of the brands Mobil will be fine. Euro Car Parts do good oil deals and offer a Club discount.

Yes it would. But the sem-synthetic has become the norm.
