how do I get the radio code for rover 75.

First step always visit this link and identify the radio only then will you get useful advice

You used to visit your Rover dealer and quote the vin number for original equipment ; maybe Xpart dealers offer this service ?
Just check that it hasn't been written on the casing ; I always do that .

Before you incur any expense try this. Not sure if this just my car but if it works for you too then great.
Not long ago I had to visit a garage for clutch replacement. On collecting my 75 Tourer the garage proprietor apologised for not having the code for the radio. I didn't have the code either but thought this had happened when I replaced the batter, could I remember what happened?
Anyway off I went with a silent radio demanding a code. I pressed and held the button on the right hand side (opposite side to on/off switch) and hey presto radio came on ! !
Try it, you never know, it might work for you too!
