Default 1.8T induction kit.

Has anyone fitted This kit?

A little expensive but looks well made.

A bit OTT if you ask me. A lot of money. The turbo itself is about as good as gets with forced induction. A KnN panel filter is good enough or replace the airbox with a cone filter and a good cold feed.

Yes it's certainly expensive.

I aready have the K&N panel filter but it would also be nice to have a forward facing cold air feed.I'd be interested to know how that kit compares with the panel filter for airflow.

Also the std airbox mounts onto an air feed that comes from below the bumper. I'm guessing it gets plenty of cold air. If you really wanted to drop the inlet temp you could fit a fmic instead of the std intercooler.

The standard air-box cold air feed is high up on the kerb side front wing, just as long as the Shannon tube is intact as illustrated by this post from Jules

Better breathing along with a more freeflowing exhaust has to help engine performance.

Not sure how much of difference it would make though? Bit expensive to just give it a try!

Cool

Go for it i have done mine (V6) and it has made a difference. But make sure you still use the shannon tube to direct cooler air into the cone.I made my deflector shield from 2.5mm mild steel powder coated.Hole underneath with shoulder to attach shannon tube to the bottom therefore given it a cooler feed.Any other info give us a nudge.
