Best Way To Fix Driver’s Door Panel
2/75. 54 plate Drivers door panel torn off top right retaining screw.
What is the best way to repair or would it be easier to get a substitute top half panel. Last edited by Ranger74; 20th January 2020 at 13:04.. Reason: Substitute Address for Camberley |

Which part of the door did you mean? The interior? or exterior trim? Also probably best to remove your address from the subject bar for the post. |

Hi M6dly.
Thanks for the diagram. Panel 13 is the problem. There is a small retaining screw and pathetic washer holding that corner to the door and the fabric of the panel has torn from the screw mounting and is now waving in the breeze. Tried removing address by editing to no avail. |

Thanks Macaffee2.
On the your diagram, just below the top right corner where it cuts in, the material has pulled away from the screw/clip. There is faint evudenbce on the diagram showing its location. I had in mind to rebuild and re-inforce the card/plastic with some form of epoxy material. Also using a larger washer to strengthen that area |

The "fir tree" clips often break when trying to remove but are the best fixings to keep the door card in place.

Thanks.
I think that will solve the problem but that top right area is rather weak. I'll give it a try. |
