On Robert's behalf I'd like to thank you all for your good wishes, no doubt when he's able he'll do it personally.

Hopefully once he's home I'll pop round and see him.

Jim

Just had the following text from Robert

Hi Jim. The physio girls say I'm fit to go back on the streets, so I'm hoping to be released on the world Saturday lunchtime. Hope you're all OK. Robert.

Outcome is - so far - better than anyone has expected and - without a doubt better than I deserve.

I've got no pics (Yet) - but I'll wear my see-thru underpants next June, so you can see the scar, Jules!

Thanks for passing on my news Jim AND for taking over with the Christmas meal

Well, I did get out on Saturday - and shortly after lost my Internet connection! So apologies for the delay in responding.
I'd have been out in 3 days, if they hadn't been so busy 4th December, the day I was admitted. A far cry from when I broke the other end of the same bone, 5th December 1970 and had to spend the next 3 months in hospital, on traction.
One reason I chose my username is, I have often come out OK in a bad situation - and I recognise my good fortune.
A big thank you to everyone who's given me a thought, or said a silent prayer. Get yourself some Yaktrax, or something similar.
I anticipate a full and speedy recovery.

erm .... that sounds painful, a double entendre ?

And 4th / 5th december seem bad days for you . declare them out of bounds or something .
