Best oil to use
Hi - can anyone advise the best oil to get to do an oil change for
W Reg - Rover 75 Conoseuir 2L Diesel Saloon - Manual (BMW Engine) Needs an oil change any guidance help appreciated - also i believe Unipart do a filter is this correct cheers |

Oil grade
Need to do an oil change on my Rover 75 Coniseur 2 l diesel (BMW) engine - can anyone advise what grade of oil to use Cheers

Might be worth grabbing a Service Kit and changing a few other bits while you've got your hands dirty - the Air Filter is often forgotten about as it's hidden, as is the PCV Filter.

In all engines the important thing is the ACEA specification of the oil. The diesel accepts a range of viscosity types but your selected oil must pass the ACEA A3 and B3 as a minimum. It's given on the label and on the website listings - if not ask them to confirm it. This means a semi-synthetic type as minimum. Use fully synthetic if you have a deeper pocket. The rest is up to you, so Tesco's or top of the brands Mobil will be fine. Euro Car Parts do good oil deals and offer a Club discount.
