Got mine last week. Had to power down for 5mins so I checked before and after and indeed it has increased, can't say I've noticed the difference much.

I'm okay as well, also got the new faster modem. Thing is I'd put Virgin in the same group as VW when it comes to spouting about the performance of their products.

Rant & slightly off topic: as we are talking about Virgin. Part of being with Virgin is they know your phone numbers, They are up there when is comes to spam calling me about their products.

Thanks for the replies guys I thought there might be a touch of snake oil hype to it. I did get the new router from them last year. On their site it says coming soon to my area, It's been saying that since last August.

I cant really complain about there service as it's been really good, but when you've been promised new bells whistles & new switches I mean you want it know eh! lol

Just took a speed test.

Just checked mine again

This is with a Powerline adaptor using a LAN connection.

Speed is lower on Wi-Fi and faster if connected directly into modem/router with a LAN cable - promised speed is 200MPS but laptop only has has 10/100 hardware

How much are Virgin Media charging these days?

I'm with Plusnet, on their "fibre" (which isn't really fibre) offering, and this is what I'm getting for £19.99.

I'm with Virgin too and my internet is quite slow. It also cuts out a lot. I keep meaning to call them. This is my result. Can someone tell me what they think of this?

PS, This is wireless.
