Default Gold fan resistor - wiring question

How'do folks

i have a gold fan resistor to fit - i removed the sticker from the front while it didn't indicate polarity, it was supposed to be fitted with the writing on the sticker reading the right way up.

does it matter which way it's wired ? i.e is it directional for current flow? can i connect either end to either end on the car?

Paul...

There is no direction with a resistor.

The important thing is to ensure that the wire is soldered properly to the resistor terminals with a powerful soldering iron.

and use heat shrink tubing to cover joins, I had a gold resistor blow to not heat shrinking the cover tubing (bought fan with fitted resistor s/h) and water ingress as a result
