Angry Another child dies on bouncy castle !

Can't believe another child has lost her life due to a bouncy castle being operated in high winds, after last years tragedy you would expect commercial owners to learn, at least they have been arrested on serious charges

There was a similar tragedy a few years bacon our neighbouring County Durham, where a huge inflatable was blown off its anchoring, two people were killed in that ,as it blew up into the air about 30ft.

It's absolutely crazy how something like this has happened. As said, it shouldn't of been in operation in the first place in winds like this. What a great shame that a life was lost.

Health and safety has gone way out of control! I mean 1 weeks training from waitrose to use a broom and then things where a childs life is at risk and nobody bothers to check. What has this country become?

I hope they jail the 2 people responsible for this blatant disregard for a childs safety. Money, money and more flippin money, this is the driving force in peoples lives now and i think when children are dying for the sake of a few quid, the rule book needs to be re-written.

The other question remains though, why would a parent with half an ounce of common sense let a wee child play on one of these in high winds anyway? Were they totally reliant upon the owners of the castle to have made 100% the right judgment? I think this tragic death has many sides of blame.

how many children have died in road accidents this year, last year and the year before?

did I hear right, the 2 they arrested are in their 20's, I wonder if they are the owners.
This is a travesty I suspect the parents will never fully come to terms with. If we are to crucify the "owners", do we know the facts?

Terribly sad - these things DO have strict guidelines as far as I am aware and have to be securely tied down. I was involved with our local Carnival some years ago and the Insurance we had set out strict guidelines for how and when these things could be used. Our designated safety officer had to sign off on the day.

The person we used for the Bouncy Castles was known as "The Inflatable Lady" (always got a laugh) but she was very professional and if high winds were predicted she warned us that she would have to back out.

So what happened here and why does seem odd based upon what we had to check some years ago.
