Windscreen Replacement
Hi all. I am attempting to arrange to have my windscreen replaced. There is what appears to be a large oil stain on the windscreen. I believe this is due to delamination. My insurance does not cover this apparently. I have been quoted figures ranging from £160 to £350 to replace the windscreen. I have autoglass, auto windscreens, nationwide autoglass and a local company. Are there any others people can recommend?
Also is there an easy way to tell if you have rain sensitive wipers? I don't think I have but am unsure..... Ta everybody! |

No, the sensor is immediately behind the rear view mirror.

I think it is a sunlight sensor for the A/C but I am sure someone with better knowledge of the 75 will correct me if wrong!

Sunlight sensor is on top of front screen dash panel/shelf.
Rain sensor is in the rear view mirror array. |

By the way the rain sensor type of screen has a refractor prism directly above the rear view mirror surrounded with a black overlay. This will be coupled with an automatic dipping rear view mirror Brian |
