hi am about to purchase an alpine symphony on ebay will it need a code thanks

I have read that Symphonys left the factory without the code being set It may have been set since ?
However , ask the seller if he has the code ; if not , buy one that has !

Harmony was always factory coded, later Symphony was dealer coded by request of owner, as they rarely asked the question majority remained uncoded.
