You never know what people get up to in private except George always comes over as being butch and straight talking I have seen a few cross dressers over the years in attendance at the meets. I did hear that one is a cop. I never thought to ask about their undies. But had I asked the question, I suspect it would have been received as a compliment. Ian, do you ever get to any of the meets?

Afternoon Phil There's nowt as queer as folk so they say....cough.....George.....cough No I don't get out to the meets Phil, I'm a bit of an hermit, I have trouble travelling any distance these days even in the luxury of the Rover. I think the farthest I've travelled in over a decade was down to Stafford to collect this Rover. I couldn't walk for days after I got back.

Managed to get centre console and gear stick back in P6. So went for a 20 mile spin v8 sounded great.

Seeing that picture takes me back to 1982. The franchise for whom I ran the Middlesbrough outlet, Prontaprint, decided that we needed a higher profile, and TV advertising was chosen as the way forward. The advertising agency hired (at gawd knows what cost) Mr Emery to be the star of the ad. The idea was that he would be seen going into a Prontaprint shop in all his different guises - toothy vicar, old lady, motorbiker, bovver boy, the man-eating spinster etc. etc. - and buy some of our products, The message was that we could supply anything that people may need in terms of printed materials. We saw the advert's final version on video at a sales conference in November of 1982 - and it was pretty good as I recall. The advert was due to run from mid-January 1983- but unfortunately the star died on the 2nd January - and the advertising campaign was scrapped - at heaven only knows what cost

Must try and get a photo of a local P6 3500S - 1973 L reg. in red with what I think are Rostyle wheels. Looks immacualte and sounds even better when he pulls away
