Excellent effort! Well done sir.
Sadly I've been mad busy this week or I'd have lent a hand - certainly looks more daunting than I'd imagined.

...glad I have the auto now! Those pinch bolts are a nightmare.

Oh and for the record, the clutch and slave you have there are original (plastic pipes and unsprung clutch centre section).

Default Break

Had two days off from the car as it was dominating my time and I felt I needed a break. Working to a time schedule and pressure of needing the car for work was no good, SWMBO added to the pressure so I aquired a banger today to buy some more time to fix the Rover properly. I can now take my time to decide whether to replace the DMF and source one for a decent price instead of panic buy or maybe leave it and put it back together and see how it goes. New pinch bolts have now arrived so it is ready for reassembly once I have decided what to do with DMF. DAS68 help was well appreciated, he grafted all day and kept me going on them pinch bolts when I was ready to admit defeat, now there out and new ones are at hand ready to go back in and the pressure is now off having to rush the reassembly.

This is great. Near to perfect post.

Can someone put this safe somewhere so it can be found easy in case needed ? (Howto ?)

Question: What is exactly the disadvantage of having a coloured flywheel ? What will be the downside of just leaving it in ?
