Radiator fan running intermittently

My rad. fan cuts in every 2 mins or so and runs flat out for about 20 seconds. This happens whether the engine is hot or cold and as regular as clockwork.
When stationary with the engine running the fan noise is tremendous.
Any help appreciated.

Try it with the aircon turned off.

It also sounds as if you need to renew your fan resistor.

There is loads of information already available on the forum for this problem.
