Total opposite in my eyes. The day the 75 (and all varienta) stopped being made in the UK was the day the British public will loose interest.

The amount of people say to me is that one of the Chinese cars at shows bow and who think an 01 75 is a Chinese roewe 750 goes to show.

No the best thing they ever did was not selling it in the UK after the callopse.

The worst thing they ever did was not getting a diesel in the mg6 from day one along with hatch, tourer and saloon from the start.

Too true. Stops us from even considering one. It is just plain daft.
Been quite impressed with the MG6 and MG3 I sat in. But no automatic stops us from buying one. Particularly the MG6 is good value for money in the used market.

Wonder what the original 75 was sold in percentage terms? Anybody know?
Obviously the MGZT would be mainly manual but I suspect a fair whack of the 75s were automatic.

Default Roewe

I wonder if the 750 number plate in the pic's was deliberate?. also when I was there in 2010 my family surprised me by taking me to a nearby showroom [only told them later I had found it earlier]. took me in, staff thought I was Stirling Moss. ? [they had a M G history book in English, perhaps he was in there?]. via the guide they said if I bought the fully spec'd 2.6 they would give me a basic M3. the top dog looked really nice and well finished. son number 2 Hong Kong based said would I drive a lhd in London, I said no so it was not bought. I think he was serious. [ what would I do with 2 cars?]. peter.
