Default Steering wheel controls

Hi,
Would anyone know how the steering wheel control is setup/operates?
if i buy this
(check out steering wheel control interface)

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/7-2DIN-RDS-CA...3A1%7C294%3A30

will this just plug into my cars control, or will it involve splicing cables, or will it not be compatible at all?
Thanks in advance

Have a search on double din, as 2 or 3 people have bought this unit. I can't recall if they'd got the controls to work, but I suspect not.

Hi the basic answer here is probably NO..

I've just asked the same question on another unit which advertised
steering wheel controls ,

and got the answer back , its a remote you can fit on you steering wheel ??

when I asked which one in the photo it was was told the square one shown ?
( suupose you stick it on with tap or string )

when I pointed out that the advert was not accurate and breached trade descriptions etc .. the seller said he would change the wording.

It seems like most drop shippers he didn't have a clue about the item he was selling, and just copied the Chinese wording for his advert .

So best advice is .. never assume anything .. and alway asked, and if in doubt leave it alone !! and go somewhere else..

BTW have a look here .. regarding steering controls you can buy a programable unit pab-swx? to emulate a units Ir remote

as trebor been there , got tea shirt etc etc ..

have fun Chris
