Far more likely to be the bearing's magnetic strip at fault than the ABS modulator.

You say front sensor fault - left or right? But if your speedometer is working you can rule out the front right. If your cruise is working (if got) that's the front left.

Not an easy job replacing the bearing but easier and cheaper than the ABS modulator.

ps. Not unknown for even new sensors to be defective or require "shaving" to fit properly.
