Did the static test which was OK and went for a drive,Within a 1/4 of a mile the ABS light came back on...BUT NOW when you turn the ignition on it fails the static test and the ABS light remains on,

If it is not the rears then it can only be the Front N/S as The speedo works fine.

Unless there are any more suggestions

Any help appreciated

Hi John.

It will be one of the rear sensors or bearings, when you say you cleaned the face of the bearing do you mean the face which is read by the sensor if so what did you clean it with? let us know.

Hi steve, when I pulled the bearing off ,the Off side there was all manner of crud in there so I scrapped all the flaky bits off and then used a high pressure air line to blow all the rest off.The rear of the bearing I used the air line and my finger to clean off the bits that were on it I did the same on both sides..Put it all back together The Static test proved ok IE ignition on ABS light on for few seconds and then went of,drove about 1/4 of a mile and the ABS light came on.Now when you turn the ignition on the ABS light does not go out

I didnt use any thing on the sensor side other than an air line and rag

Toaf is not working as it should, are you using a cable with pins 7 & 8 bridged? Can you access other modules eg BCU? sorry but as a long term Mac user I’m not very familiar with Windows and hope others can better advise.

When we started the Remote T4 project (remember that dream?) my hobby computer (Windows XP) was set-up remotely using TeamViewer. Note, this gives the helper remote access to your computer, as my Windows XP is never used for banking or general internet activities this was fine by me.

Alternatively, you could try contacting the Poles on their Facebook page or email: [email protected] They have something called Anydesk which I assume is similar to Teamviewer. I can’t think of anyone more qualified to get your Toaf up and running but I would expect some coinage to change hands.

Regards

Unless It is something else, will do some more checks

Do you have a Land Rover garage near you ?? They will have a T4.

Or maybe a garage that was previously an R75 dealer.

My ex Rover dealer at Cholet has a T4.

I buy parts for my current R75 from them.

Hello Colvert,,Good thinking,,there is a land Rover garage not to far away will give him a call I would think he has a T4..

Will let you know what happens.

I have a feeling it is a sensor problem as some time the ABS light comes on within a few yards and others a couple of miles,Although the static check works out OK.
