If you have an old brush handle to hand then yes. Check out Arctic's how to.
I did mine in about 20 minutes the second time i did it, although the first one took me a few hours. A good 45 minutes of that was figuring out how to get the back seat back down. |

is it just a case of lifting the rear console rather than removing it then.ive already stripped the complete interior before,so I know what's what there.

Yes remove the two screws in the side of the console, lift the rear up and also the carpet expose the compensator remove the black clip to free the front cable, you then need to bend back the little retaining metal lug which keeps the cable in the track of the handbrake lever, this will allow you to remove the from cable and also feed the new cable (Mini R53 ) back into place, if you feel more comfortable removing the console then the job is a lot easy to replace the cable but of cause more time, then you reverse what to did earlier.
