EWS3 question
After BigRuss successfully sorted my immobiliser issue and got the car started, I've run into another problem: the connecting wires to the EWS3 unit are pretty corroded, so much so that when I waggled them about, two of them broke away from their connectors.
Not such a big deal, as I all really have to do is remake the connections or source another connector block. Since the connectors are tiny and soldering in that space under the steering wheel scuttle is pretty tight, I think I may just get another connecting block and patch the wires into good known connecting pins. My question is, thinking that the local scrappers probably won't have a 75 they're breaking - what other Rover models used the EWS3 unit, and are there any other non-Rover cars that had it too? |

Thanks for the offer Mick, very kind of you. As it turned out the scrapper had a 75 in, so I whipped the connector off that. Made all the connections nice and solid, all fine now
