Default heated rear screen

the top 2/3 of my screen has never demisted
bottom 1/3 or so is excellent

apart from one time when by fluke it all worked

so today I took off the pillar covers and had a good look

no loose wires everything is attached

doesnt appear to be any breaks in the tracks

so could it be the module bolted to the pillar ?

you seem to be having a great conversation with yourself here..... I should think a continuity check would work but don't get the heater mixed up with the radio aerial....

If some of the element is working and some not then you have power and Earth to each side so it sounds like an element issue. You can do a resistance check across the lines but be careful not to scratch the element. You can also check the voltage across the element and you will see a drop in voltage as you get towards the centre.

none of the upper element works at all

I may have to do a voltage check on whats coming out of the control box see if there is anything to the top element at all if there is then continuity to the other side ... I dont think its an earth problem that all looks clean and secure

No little box for the heater element, any boxes are radio related.
