Few issue on a long run
Did 389 miles today and a few issues still need sorting
First I will go through what I had done 1. intercooler o,rings 2. intake clean and map sensor clean Was blocked 3 . MAF clean and erg clean Right now the issues No power at all below 1800rpm and I mean it's almost dangerous to pull out Slight wheel shake on breaking (drop links and top mount being done) And on the motorway when i accelerate it feels like she pulls back like I'm putting my foot on and off the pedel Oh yeah airbag light is not under the seat but Chris from Fareham is going to help with that and abs is the left wheel area lol toaf has told me But even after all these niggles I love driving it and hope to restore her to good running order with the help of you experts |

Hi,
Two points to clear firstly, you mentioned cleaning the MAP and MAF sensors, please explain exactly what you did, as this is very important. |

HI Russel.
Unplug the MAF sensor to see if there is any change in the below 1800rpm, you say you cleaned the MAF sensor sorry to say that is not a good move, you have most likely damaged the MAF. The MAF as be cleaned by some members but it does not really work to be honest once a MAF is out of spec replacement is the only cure, always use a genuine Bosch MAF after market ones will fail quickly.

I can say without any thought after unplugging the MAF the car goes like nothing I have driven in a long time so think I've found the issue (the way it goes is shocking think it's been remapped)
