Default Door mirrors switch.

Hello, I tried to adjust my door mirrors electrically, no joy. I stripped the door/window switch and cleaned the contacts with Isopropyl, the mirror light came on but no movement. The windows worked but after trying the mirrors again everything went off. I have a spare switch pack and tried that, the mirrors are dead and the windows open and close, then all the power goes and the l/r mirror light goes out and the power goes. Any advice please?. Thanks, John.

Pencil rubber worked for me when I first took ownership of my tourer with its 'broken' electric mirrors!

Thanks for all the tips, I have a non powerfold switch pack as a spare, I have now got everything working again. Can I swop the innards into my non working powerfold pack as there seems to be no difference in the two other than the powefold pack has the extra hole for the button?. Thanks, John.

Hi John, I'm afraid the non powerfold circuit board is very different to the powerfold ones.
The board is physically the same size and will fit but there's lots of components missing on the non ppwerfold ones including the relay for the powerfold operation that's unobtainable as a separate part.

Easiest solution is your powerfold one is faulty is a replacement I'm afraid.

Russ
