Which is why I asked the question about the hazard lights John

If the inertia switch is tripped, when you turn the ignition switch to position 2, the hazard warning lights flash.

However if you have a poor , intermittent or broken connection of the 12v supply to the EGR, glow plug relay, high pressure pump regulator, MAF and CMP sensor, you will have a non runner with all of the codes the OP supplied in his earlier post, something I've seen countless times before, and normally caused by a failure of splice joint 5 located inside the ECM plastic enclosure.

It's not the inertia switch then, as when it's tripped the hazard lights flash when the ignition is turned on

Hopefully it will be ok in the interim, but there is definitely an intermittent problem with the 12v supply to the sensors as I suggested

I've seen this more times than enough to recognise the symptoms that you described
