Default Discount Rover Spares wrong crank pulley

Basically I am using this forum to try and get in touch with discount rover spares, after receiving the wrong Rover 75 diesel crank pulley form them.

I have had radio silence on the emails and know that the owner sometimes checks these forums.

Bit cheeky I know but I need this resolved quickly, as I can't leave the car in bits on the drive.

thanks

Hello there, we're bang up to date on emails - it mustn't have made it to our end for some reason.
Click our username and you can message us this way - I'll pick it up as soon as I have it.

FYI, for anyone else in the same position please message first as we get a notification for this - we don't get a notification for new threads and sometimes only visit a couple of times per week.
Thanks

There is only one type of diesel crank pulley, can you post a pic of what you have been sent.

I did think it was unusual - keen to see if there's been a KV6 pulley sent out by mistake etc

Hope you can the image. Both the old and new pulley in the image are the same way round, the problem is the smaller pulley wheel should be on the inside and on the new pulley it is on the outside.

I didn't notice the different till I fitted it and then hand turned the engine. The aux belt kept slipping off and that is when I took it off and compared them.

Good job I did, wouldn't have been much fun to fire up the engine and have the belt fly off.

Hope it’s a one off but I’d advise checking the rest of the batch to see if any others are manufactured incorrectly. Is it an OEM one or one from the Far East?
