Checked the front end round prior to MOT next month. Touched up the underbody paintwork and wax. Not many miles since last year so just paint and underseal needed so far, everything else looks good. New brakes and suspension parts done last year. Start on the rear wheels and suspension next.

And double hydraulics, I've encountered a HP regulator drive issue with the one from two ECM today........time to get the scope out again Sometimes the seemingly easy option is far from it........shame I managed to clock up 150 miles fault free, and the damned thing played up on my way home from seeing bigD last evening. HP regulator drive circuit repaired on diesel ECM, unit back on test, and the other ECM that was on test returned to virgin state.
These things are sent to try us Brian |

May have cured my leaking rear windscreen.
Opened boot, raised up the lower edge of rubber seal on window, gave it a good soaking of wd40 great amount of muck washed out. Then squeezed in some Captain Tolleys sealant, around window clips.Done three times at intervals.Left for two days. Gave car a long shower of water from hose,no signs of dripping. Fingers crossed.

Finally got chance to replace the broken O/S foglight that I used as a bargaining tool when I bought the car. Thanks to someone trying previously and rounding the two bottom mounting screws off, had to remove the bumper to do it, which was actually a bonus as it made replacing the headlight bulbs much easier than going through the inner arch.

I was led to believe that you can remove the cooling fan blades on a Mk1 by just removing the grill and maybe lower mesh but this simply wasnt possible on mine for some reason, not enough room to manoeuvre it out. So bumper had to come off, followed by the crash bar. Replacing the blades was very simple and now my car has a properly working fan for the first times in yonks!
I also didnt release just much damage had been done when I hit a small deer recently. The bumper really needs replacing but that will have to wait.
