Default Idiot Driver

Just back from a tour round the Peak District and then Stratford-upon-Avon and thought I'd capture this classic moment we caught on the dashcam on the way back..................

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhYrJN1krVk

The idiot in the van tried to race us off a set of lights earlier on that road however we were in the SLK which has almost 300bhp so it was hardly a race. Mrs Guru was driving and I think he took exception to being beaten by a woman so when he finally caught up he pulled that manoeuvre! The crazy thing is at the next roundabout we passed him again as he was stuck in the turn right lane

Was very sad to see a now distinct lack of 75's and ZT's even in the midlands where they used to rule. We passed 1 75 on the way out of Norfolk and a ZT in Stratford and that was it

Thanks for that - what a total idiot.

I’ve just spent a happy half hour watching video clips of other idiots as well.

Makes you want to stay at home

Dashcams are essential nowadays. Daily, I see manoeuvres that scare the life out of me.
They provide valuable evidence of what happens on our roads today.
Sadly, because of the age of our cars, any collision involving our cars normally results in our pride and joy being written off.
So the main function for me, is, the footage proves our innocence.....or guilt, but almost every occasion, it's our innocence.

That looks like standard driving on the A17, aka the wacky races!

I have the dubious pleasure of passing through Bradford twice a day. Must get a dash cam as I could make a whole series about foolish drives. They treat the place like a race track.

Spare a thought for those on motorbikes - the ones just going with the flow, not the ones who think public roads are their own private racetrack.

Crumple zones are flesh & bone......

Biggest culprits in Bradford are quad bikers. Loads of them with zero respect for anyone else

A couple of weeks ago, I had to spend a couple of hours creeping through Birmingham in crazy traffic - I cannot recall seeing any example of bad driving from anybody, and I saw drivers from a variety of cultures and ages......No, I was not dreaming.

Looking at the OP's clip, I’d rather have that type of driver in front of me than behind, in fact I have been known to pull over to let a tailgater past.

In the last month I have witnessed two motorway accidents caused by thoughtless driving.
The first was the foreign registered truck changing lanes and flipping a small Merc them pushing it along before braking hard spearing the car into the barriers. The second was a young (to me!) lady who had stopped on the hard shoulder a indicated to rejoin the motorway and pulled out in front of a unladen artic the driver managed to avoid her by swerving hard to the hard shoulder only to collect her as she realised her mistake and tried to swerve back to the hard shoulder.
In both cases nobody was hurt, I gave my details in both instances.
It's crazy out there,
