Don't see why not, but I'm no expert Try using the Google search function at the top of the page & it will bring up everything about the aircon system

I think after reading the link I have a three speed fan
Is it possible to change to the two speed one and the gold resistor or is this not possible?
There was a whooping noise when the zircon was kicking in which I presumed was the compressor

It's all explained in the link I put up from Jules, you can upgrade from 3 to 2 speed using a resistor if you're handy

I think that maybe the way forward.
I believe there is also a way to test the fan by shorting the switch on the aircon pipe on OS inner wing

That's the one. Does that detect gas in the system?

It detects pressures in the system.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Your advice was spot-on Ron, but please note that the motor requires brushes, as in the tool used to sweep the floor!

No, incorrect presumption!

On a three speed system that tests that the medium speed is working. Pressing the windscreen demist button tests the low speed. If both those are ok then you'll be fine.
