We're already bombing ISIS and have been for some time, however not in Syria as yet.
I think it's right to try and bring a halt to their actions however I don't think it's going to stop them, just disrupt them slightly. As mentioned before, ISIS seem to have cells everywhere and are not easily identified. It'll be a virtually impossible task to stop them completely.

They need to be allowed to do what they are trained to do. The Army are not a peace keeping force, they are well trained professional soldiers, they need to be allowed to soldier without politicians telling them which way to shoot.

You've got my full support there.

My post was on the pretext that everyone was aware we already bombed them but not over the Syrian border .

But thanks for the info.

Agreed.

The British army are well capable of picking these animals off in close combat .
The problem is there are so many factions in the area that want to take control i visualise problems .

Cant see the Americans committing troops.

Tribal law rules in these areas and most likely always will.

Yeah sure, let's create a peaceful solution by dropping more bombs.... Certainly worked in Iraq and Libya...!!

I mean good old George W had the right idea.... Bomb them, shock and awe...

He also said...."Iraq without Saddam Hussein would be an example of freedom in the Middle East".

And we went right along with him....

"FOOLS"!

So I guess you have my answer!

Or... We prevent our 'allies' in the region from arming and funding Daesh and then support the legitimate, secular government of the Syrian Arab Republic so that it can retake lost soil itself.

Might be a lot less messy for us

I know exactly what I'd like to say but that would possibly breach club rules.
The whole thing could bring us to the brink of WWIII, this time it could be prevented by who has the best nuclear weapons and defences.

Hope the SNP recognise this.

Indiscriminate bombing = innocent men, women and children killed.

Do i need to say how disgusting that is?

Have we as a species learnt nothing?

Bombs solve nothing.

Seriously this is a planned prelude to war against the Arab world with media fed public support.

Identify the culprits and deal with them as individuals and not under the banner of religion.

Seriously spare the innocents!

John Lennon must be spinning in his grave

That's the thing though isn't it, we support them now like the Americans did with the Taliban against Russia and what happens in 5-10-20 years? I'm surprised the French haven't sent in the foreign legion already tbh, this is exactly the sort of terrain and fight that they are trained for and they have history of fighting in Syria before now.

In my opinion Saddam should have been left alone, it was the void left behind by his going that allowed this crowd to come in and take over. He was undoubtedly a maniac who did what he wanted but how much safer did we all feel when he was in charge
