Supermarkets
We have used Aldi/Lidl for years since they first arrived over here, not on cost, but on cost plus quality. We more often than not do our main regular shop there. With maybe a trip to one of the others, for fuel and extras we like from them. I'll go as far as saying, I have Aldi and Lidl as points of interest in my satnav, for when we are away in the caravan and need to stock up.
It seems now that others have at last woken up to the fact that cheap may not necessarily also mean less quality. We buy, we try and if we don't like we don't buy again, irrespective of which supermarket it came from.

Have to agree. We've used Lidl for our main shop for probably 2 or 3 years and over that time have found items that we would never use again, but also the opposite, in that some things that we would only buy from them.

We use Lidl for most, I don't really bother much with shopping, the missus does most of it. But when I do I go there, plenty of parking few people in the shop, plenty of good stuff, some nice booze at a good price. I really like the german lagers they do.

I posted this about Lidi's yesterday Harry, on the LCOZ at 11:51
First time I have been shopping in ages due to personal reasons. Been eating the food and it really is good. Back to Lidl's tomorrow as I am having a few people over Bank Holiday Monday and two of them are veggies

I like Lidls because I can have a good rummage in those cages in the middle of the shop.
You do not get those goodies in Tesco

It is not just me then.
I don't know how I would get along without my battery operated salt mill, that has a bulb in it to illuminate the food. The trouble is the stuff they have, is never there the next time you are in. I saw some sea scooters in there once. They were tubes with propellers, like the Scuba divers use in James Bond movies. I nearly came home with one, but was only supposed to get some parmesan cheese.
