Bad Christmas Present
Today I received my worst Christmas present.
Just been told that due to worsening medical conditions, I cannot drive anymore and advised to surrender my licence, by my Medical Consultant. What a bummer. So it seems my 56 year driving career has come to an end The saving grace is my wife. She is the main driver these days, so now it looks like she has been promoted full time. She is a great driver, and loves our '75'. So I've got every reason to hang on to her ('75'), and keep on maintaining her at the top level (Both). I look around me, and see all the troubles in the world. Mine pales into insignifence. I've still got my Wife of 51 years I can keep my '75', so I'll keep on 'smilin' May you all have a Very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year, and may all your wishes come true. All the very best trimani (Alf & Helen) |

Sorry to hear that, though far better to be advised you are no longer medically able to drive and heed that advice, than to try and keep on driving and cross your fingers regarding the potential consequences. Far far worse things are happening in the world as we speak than giving up the driver's seat of a Rover 75.
Have a happy Christmas and New Year and may your wife enjoy many more happy miles of motoring with her new backseat (front nearside seat?) passenger! |

Very sorry to hear that you've had to surrender your license, but, at least you can still love travelling in your beautiful car, and you'll be safe.
Very best wishes for the future!

That must cause a mix of emotions - sorry to hear about your situation, which actually sounds like you are prepared to change things to deal with it.
Try to enjoy your Festive Season and just thank your lucky stars you're not a turkey. |
