TC, thanks, I can't tell you how pleased I am to hear that!!
I still think it odd that the suspension load hangs on the shocks when extended, but having now got both sides connected I think maybe that's just as design. I suppose that when driving the most significant loads will be acting in the opposite direction.

Micheal,

If you need to change a spring it is necessary to disconnect the shocks to allow suspension to drop sufficiently, so as stated above, the shocks do stop the suspension from dropping.

Don't all cars 'hang' on the shocker when jacked up? They have to really.
