Evening everyone.
Yesterday’s long drive drained me. So much I slept through the 4am alarm this morning thus missing the Frimley breakfast meet. It has taken me all day to catch up. So had an easy day. Both cars got a wash before it rained.

She is much improved tonight still not 100% but alot more compus mentus. She was sitting in a chair when I got there and is back on her feet again. Thanks for all the well wishes, she is very precious to me being the last surviving member from her generation of the family apart from her cousin a few years younger. At 87 almost 88 she does remarkably well, but I know when her time comes I will be to take away.

Morning Phil and anyone else who is looking in. I'm back on school run duty this morning - first time since March - and typical, it's cold, grey and wet, so I'll be taking the car.
I hope Rich's mum recovers well - having seen elderly relatives with a similar problem, I know how debilitating it can be. I had a phone call from my elder brother yesterday to say he's got waterworks issues - potentially the prostate problem which affect many older men. It's not much fun getting old

Morning all, morning Rod
I can empathise with your brother, I have the same trouble and will have to see a urologist when I get back from the coast. Apparently there are tablets to stop the frequent visits to the loo at night or there is an op to remove the prostate Torrential rain last night and again this morning, a chilly day is forecast at 17C-20C. Today we are preparing for a long trip to the coast, driving south early tomorrow into the heat, 8-10 hours of driving. A friend in the UK had given us the use of his house which is right on the beach for as long as we want. He said the house is over run with mice and bats who have eaten the mosquito nets and one of the mattresses. In return for staying there he has asked us to get rid of the mice, the bats and to make good with new nets.... etc, We will see how that goes, but we are really looking forward to catching up on lots of swimming in the very warm tropical waters. |
