Ah; we have nothing to fear but fear itself.
I was in Sainsbury’s earlier and considering from midnight tonight it will be law to wear a face covering in all shops and public spaces, there were only 5 people wearing masks in the shop and one of them was me. Not that many in, but beside the point, you would think people would be wearing them now. Since the start of the virus I have only been to a supermarket once unmasked, and only because I forgot to take one. Bought a box of 50 from a wholesaler a couple of weeks back and I have 1 pack in the van,
one in the car and one in the house. As soon as it was announced that from 24/7 it was compulsory I went back and bought another box,so we will be ok for a couple of months now.

Public spaces......when did that happen?
I thought it was shops & supermarkets?

Is it the law or a rule?

My trip the the chemist yesterday showed the same. A near by pub was busy and no social distancing, suspect there will be very little difference from tomorrow.

What I don't understand is folks repeatedly complain how this has been handled by the government from the start, lock down, mask wearing, furloughing etc. yet the real shambles is how the certain elements of the population have reacted. Yesterday morning the Beeb where interviewing some unknown footy player about some little trophy his little known club had won for the first time in years. They were pleading to the supporters NOT to turn up at the presentation/ground. Surprise, surprise (not) they turned up.

I despair of my fellow humans I really do.

Boris said he hoped to see a return to something like the "old normal" by Christmas.I wondered if others agree?Or was he being overly optimistic?
