Don't think so, the dyno install is only about year old. But there are plans for us to host a dyno day

Out of interest, would you be able to make much improvement to a 1.8 NASP?

Non VVC engines can be a bit hit and miss. For example Ive had simple 1.4 engines make anywhere from 4-7hp at peak. Most of the improvements would be with smoothing out the torque and improving throttle response at part throttle to make town driving a bit nicer.
I'd be happy to let folks try it out see if it's for them so you don't have to take a gamble.

Can also add in an overrun burble...although whether this is very in keeping with the 75s more sensible feel ill leave to the owner to decide

Hi there,

I am 100% open to bringing my 190 down and you can do with it as you please, i would love an overrun crackle.

I have a bit of a background tuning Honda's on S300 and Crome (nothing fancy i am by no means an expert)
So could you give me the run down of what could be done on a 190?

The reason i ask is because the engine is coming out for a rebuild in a few weeks, and while its out speaking to the engine builder (AMAC engineering in Northallerton used to build my dads Mk2 escort rally motors etc)
He said we can easily add in some headwork to open it up a bit for very little extra cost.
I've also read a lot of posts about running an intake cam on the exhaust side or exhaust on the intake cant remember which one, but basically i would love to have a more useable higher rpm and better mid range
The inlet manifold is gutted and de-flapped so could you incorporate that into the map?
I also have a stock fully working inlet if you wanna run a comparison and finally put that myth to bed?

Thanks!

Yes & No. It can't be done via same method as MEMS3 (OBD port) as it has a ROM chip so in order to do it would need the ECU opening up, desoldering and replacing with a re-flashable chip. I'm not certain the MEMS2J version is as dependant on mapping as the later MEMS3 one (which was detuned via the ECU). So the best route for improvements would be via breathing modifications

Thanks Neil, to do thourgh development to see the longer term effects we'd need the car for a little while. I've been eyeing up ZS 180s to have a play with, but a house purchase is limiting disposable dosh right now...plus I fear I'd fall in love with it and not want to go back to the daily driving fiesta diesel

Great to see a new provider offering services for our cars - you had me at 'custom written remaps with rolling road'.

All the best with this venture.
