I have the PScan tool. It works on my facelift ZT fine. Gets a bit picky about having an internet connection - does not start if not connected. Tool gets updated quite regularly.

The other tool mentioned above is a Delphi DS150E clone. These are a little more work to get working, but cover more cars and are cheaper to purchase.

Mine works over bluetooth and allows "in flight" recording of parameters - does not need a computer to record (but needs a computer to setup what to record).

It does have a plug under the dash.
On this car the following ECUs will work:-
MEMS2J
ABS 5.0
RC5 EC5 airbags
5AS alarm / immo
We are also working on EPAS power steering but this is not yet ready for customers.

This is not how it should be, and so we need to look at this and fix it.
Which operating system are you using? If you start the software without an internet connection does it work eventually? How long does it take?

Mine arrived on Saturday (Early Xmas present from my GF) and seems to be a good bit of kit - been using it to try and fix the (oft ranted about) ABS problem I have.

The one problem I've had with it was a spurious error message (Kbus shorted to 12V) which I've *just* seen an update released this morning eliminates.

Works well with my Mk2 CDTI Contemporary, the GF's Mk1 (Pre-OBD) Connie and my TD5 discovery.

The one thing that would make it easier to use is some way to know which ECUs you actually have - either something templated so you say "I have a 2004 CDTI" and the tool knows, or an ECU scan to detect the ECUs live on the bus and only offer them for diagnostics, removing the units not live. No idea how easy/hard these would be to do - even a text file with a list of ECUs various models "tend" to have would be fine.

Now I need to figure out why all of my ABS sensors are showing 1.4kph when the car's standing still, and why one of them keeps going to "--" as a speed reading. And fix the secondary pot on my accelerator that's 3% off the primary and.... and... and...

Yep - I've finally got a diagnostic tool that's causing me something bordering on automotive hypochondria - "Gotta fix *ALL THE THINGS"

Great piece of kit so far

That's exactly why I suggested a link in Pscan's sig.
Although I've just noticed there is an advert running at the top of the forum page sometimes.

I guess it is 0 rounded up to 1mph. Anyway it's normal so don't worry.

There are two modes. One of them can only read four parameters at a time and so the fifth / six (if you select them) will read --

The other mode has one of the parameters missing. Once this is fixed, which should be possible now that I have a real T4, I can get rid of the other one with the four parameters restriction.

It is me who found the ATF temperature issue. We earlier had trouble getting my Windows 8 tablet to work.

Without internet connection it will say "Missing or Corrupted files. No internet connection. Cannot continue" and then just exit.

If I am in the garage I cannot connect as I have no internet connection there. No end of playing about will get it to work until you have an working internet connection back.

Jatco automatic transmission
ABS5.7 abs controller
Temic airbag controller for cars upto 2004.
Autoliv airbag controller for 2004 on cars

For each ECU if you click on the link you can see screenshots showing what the tool can do.

As someone above said, the tool does not have any features that can do any harm to your 75/ZT. If you want something reprogrammed or enhanced you will still need to find a T4 owner.

It doesn't quite cover the entire car but we are still in development and entire coverage is our intention.
Hi. Have recently purchased a Pscan and alls good, just wondering should I be using MEMS3 ISO mode or BMW mode to view live data on my 2003 1.8T 75.
