You're right in my book - I'm using an ultra light weight billet SMF for my K turbo project.

that is nice, but i guess the other issue is what sort of power can the gearbox take when there is no dampening on the take up?

Default flywheel

conventional solid flywheels have been around since the birth of motoring and there is nothing wrong with them. Both simpler and cheaper than dual mass flywheels but as the 75 / ZT's come with dm flywheels its probably better to stick with it. I personally think they are an overcomplicated settup which is used on many vehicles to no massive advantage.
