On the lookout for a Audi TT
My brother has recently purchased a 225bhp 1.8 Turbo. The car goes like pocket rocket and handles like a GoKart. It's a well equipped model with all the goodies you would expect and finished in a fetching shade of black.
The build quality is superb, the only downside is the lack of rear seat room. On a brim test it returns a little over 38mpg on a run. The wife is a fan of these cars, so that's half the battle. |

Great little motors Paul, i test drove a couple before deciding on mine, as you say, they go like stink but the lack of rear legroom was a big factor for me.
I'm very happy with the choice i made in the end

I love the currant shape TT think they have the 2 litre turbocharged TSi or a 2 litre diesel, never driven a TT but the reviews say they handle very well and like have a nice quality finish about them.

I assume you talking about the Mk1 version ?
I thought they were well made and quick enough, but, I did feel the driving experience just didnt row my boat

Yep, the mk1 version which is one of those cars that handled it's age very well. The driving experiance is superb, with no nonsense in my opinion.

If you dont mind the fuel consumption, there are some excellent 3.2 Quattro's for under £4K. Believe me, they are epic! My mate let me have a go in his, a while back and it was awesome. He also had a 225bhp model initially and it had been tuned to over 300bhp and it was scary. We did a track day in it with his brother and the 3 of us were scared to death by the performance. when pottering round town, it was a pussy cat and a beautiful drive.
I'd say go for it and get one.

I quite like the look and colour combination of this one.

It could be out of my price range. I'm looking at mk1 models around the 3.5k bracket. The 1.8 225 is more than ample in the engine department.
