You have them fitted upside down for a start
Turn them up the other way and see how it goes, then if still problematic, let me know as some hinges/ struts occasionally are tighter than others and all it will require is an extra plastic washer on each side.

Ah I see. I think I edited that bit early on when another member had a similar experience to yourself. It does make a difference as the large washer being at the bottom on your setup, could trap itself against the hinge.
Close it slowly, watching the spring compress and just before it goes out of view, you'll see if the washer catches.

Hi, my boot lift mod which I purchased 2nd hand does not spring the boot up on its own, Ihave to lift it the first bit and then it starts work ing taking it up automatically the rest of the way. I was wondering if adding another washer or something would fix it?

I'll add you to the list. Keep an eye on your messages. I'll send you a pm with payment details when I'm ready for the next batch

Alright Steve - could you put me down for an option 1 on your next batch please. I've got a ZT, have you found it common to add an extra washer?
Cheers,
Simon
