Hi Alf,

Sorry to read that your having to hang up your driving gloves but great that your Wife enjoys driving the 75 so you can both still get much enjoyment out of her.
Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year from Ros and I

hi alf.
very sorry to hear of your news, but at least your car will still be with you. {just a thought} you could perhaps try to find a private road or somewhere you could have a turn at wheel now and again.

it looks as though i may be in the same boat in the next few years either through worsening health or financial issues, but in my case i will have to let the old girl go . "but worse things happen at sea".

anyway' chin up and all the best to both helen and you for christmas and new year.

Sorry to hear the news, Alf. But at least you get to keep it still. After seeing it at the mini-meet I can say it's one of the best looked after examples I've ever seen!

Sorry to hear this Alf, but as I was reading your OP, I could also picture you smiling as you wrote it, with your sense of humour shining through. Made me smile.
Take great pleasure in feeling proud that it's you that looks after the car that your wife will now be driving on your behalf.
Merry Christmas to you both

I am sorry to learn about this news Alf. Despite your health problems you continue to show courage and strength. It was a pleasure to have met you in September along with the other Dorset members. I was impressed by your knowledge of our cars and how they work and don't work

I thank you for your hospitality.

For the benefit of the other members who have never seen Alf's car, here are a few photos of Alf's beautiful 75.
