Default Couple of Cheap V8s

I say cheap, because I don't know what the going rate for a decent one is, but these two are the cheapest I've seen for a while.

Somehow missed the XPG one. Thanks for the tip; appreciated!
I try to keep the list of ZT260's / Rover 75 V8's up to date over on the Two-Sixties forum. There are currently about 25 over there, although about 30% are abroad and/or LHD. That will give you a better idea of the market if you are interested. Open to none Two-Sixties members, of course. You may find it interesting.

(Members only get to view stats on cars sold and auctioned over the past months, mostly with the actual sales price achieved. That's there for insurance valuation guidance too.)

Edit: Looking back over my records, I see it, the Xpower grey one #391, was advertised for a grand less with the same mileage, in the same area, again via eBay in early May this year, but only briefly listed. David.

The disappointing grey one is less than 15 miles from me, and the blue one about 45 miles.

So if anyone wants a completely unbiased viewing of either, don't call me

I would be tempted by the blue one if I could be tempted, simply as it isn't fitted with half old mans suit/plastic seats and keep fit windows, and is an actual colour, rather than Monogram Tarmacadam.

So on the face of it, the blue one is a winner based on better spec, colour, lower mileage, and even price, plus all of the expensive gremlins have been paid for.

I have to wonder whether both of these cars originated from a local chap who had a couple of doggie V8's, one which was a base spec in Monogram Tarmac with mushrooms growing in the boot, and the other in Royal Blue with a noisy clutch bearing that I made a key for..........seems a bit coincidental

Seriously some colours are a bit boring, I agree, and often get rudely described as 'Gloss Primer', 'Duct-Tape Grey' or some such. I partly agree, except that my Starlight V6 looks really top notch when treated to a full clay, polish and wax ... for a short while.

I'm sure you'll have a whole plethora of 'nice' alternatives to describe my Chatsworth V8 ... Second thoughts, don't bother. I can survive without !

David
Starlight Primertallic (MBB) Monogram Tarmacadam (LEF) Chatsworth "Dirty Old Man's Gold" (IAE) or it could be worse, how about can't make up it's mind up if it's silver or gold, over Poo Brown Supertallic (YAI)

Stop calling it primertallic, that's offensive. It is duct tape silver

No Alan, it's a MG v Rover thing

For example LEF is either Disappointing Grey or Monogram Tarmacadam depending on the Marque it's applied to, in much the same way MBB is Starlight Primertallic, or Duct Tape Silver.

JFM Royal Blue, is also Oslo Blue, and HES is Monogram Snot Supertallic

The possibilities are endless
